SIMWORKS STAINLESS OUTER CABLE 'CRISPER' FOR SHIFT

The SimWorks Stainless Outer Cable “Crisper” for Shift is a smooth and durable shift housing designed for riders who want lighter shifting feel with added corrosion resistance. Developed as an alternative to SimWorks’ classic stainless housing, it focuses on flexibility and everyday performance.

Inside, the housing uses a thicker stainless steel coil construction, making it more resistant to rust while maintaining good flexibility. This coil design allows the housing to route easily around frames and tight bends, making installation straightforward on a wide range of bikes.

A polyethylene inner liner reduces friction between the cable and housing, resulting in smoother and lighter shifting action. It’s especially well suited for bikes with 7 to 10-speed drivetrains or friction shifting setups where ease of movement and durability are key.

With its colorful outer finishes, the Crisper housing also adds a subtle visual touch to your build.

Note: This is a coil-type housing, offering flexibility and durability. For modern 11–12 speed indexed drivetrains requiring maximum precision, a linear (SIS-style) housing may provide more consistent shifting performance.
