The Tumbleweed Sunliner is a fully rigid mountain touring frame built for serious off-road adventures, bikepacking, and long-distance exploration. Sharing the same ultra high-end steel tubeset and construction as the award-winning Stargazer, the Sunliner pairs that premium feel with geometry inspired by the Prospector — optimized specifically for flat or swept-back handlebars like Tumbleweed’s own Persuader.
Designed from the ground up as an all-terrain touring rig, the Sunliner features a non-suspension-corrected fork that creates an exceptionally large front triangle, perfect for full-size frame bags and easy fender fitment. With clearance for up to 29 x 3.0” tires, Boost thru-axles, and extensive rack, fender, and gear mounts, it’s ready for loaded expeditions or stripped-down trail missions alike.
The Sunliner was born from rider demand: a flat-bar expedition bike built around modern drivetrains and thru-axles, and a Stargazer-level platform for riders who simply prefer flat bars over drops. After extensive real-world testing across different builds, loads, and terrain, it has proven to be a versatile, confidence-inspiring bikepacking machine that’s easy to recommend for almost any adventure.
Each complete bike is assembled one at a time, with wheels hand-built in house to customer specifications. The Standard Spec build serves as a starting point and can be customized to suit your needs.
